About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Technical Sourcer to join our team at OpenAI. This Senior Technical Sourcer remote position is crucial for supporting our Forward Deployed Engineering team. You will play a vital role in identifying and engaging exceptional talent who align with our mission and values.

What You'll Do

• Partner with hiring managers across Forward Deployed Engineering to enhance recruiting processes and develop tailored sourcing strategies.
• Build highly targeted searches that deliver precise candidate profiles.
• Craft thoughtful outreach approaches to engage even the most passive talent.
• Maintain relationships with high-priority targets, including talent research and mapping.
• Act as the primary contact for candidates from initial outreach to the onsite interview stage, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.
• Utilize creative strategies to discover talent through events and talks.
• Take an organized and data-driven approach to candidate tracking and pipeline health.
• Represent OpenAI at conferences and events, engaging with candidates.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical sourcing, particularly for roles such as forward deployed engineers, software engineers, and machine learning engineers.
• Proven track record of delivering healthy candidate volume while maintaining high responsiveness and care for stakeholders.
• Strong ability to hire top 1% talent.
• Adaptability in fast-paced environments, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution.
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders globally.
• A continuous improvement mindset to evolve processes for global hiring needs.
• Proficiency with ATS and sourcing platforms such as Ashby and LinkedIn Recruiter.
