Cyber Systems Engineer - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer - Remote to join our innovative team at Northrop Grumman. What You'll Do
- Support and enhance the architecture and design of cybersecurity requirements and protections.
- Plan, implement, and assess allocated security controls, policies, and processes for compliance.
- Translate security controls into system-level requirements.
- Provide cybersecurity system engineering guidance to technical teams.
- Review stakeholder security objectives and provide security considerations to inform systems engineering efforts.
- Identify and evaluate the costs and benefits of security functions to inform engineering trade-offs.
- Author and maintain cybersecurity program documentation, including Cybersecurity Strategies and System Security Plans.
- Ensure completion of scanning and assessment tasks on program assets.
Requirements
- For Level 3: Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience; Master's degree with 3 years; PhD with 0 years. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required at time of application.
- Direct experience with RMF assessment and authorization documentation.
- Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and RMF (NIST 800-37) accreditation functions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with internal and external teams.
Nice to Have
- Expertise with Systems Security Engineering as defined in NIST SP 800-160.
- Experience with cloud security platforms and configuring industry-standard technologies.
- Experience working in an Agile execution framework.
