About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team remotely at Arc GLOW. As a DSP, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities, providing meaningful support and assistance in their daily activities. What You'll Do

• Provide daily support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a home setting.
• Assist with daily living skills, personalized goals, and engage in various activities such as arts and crafts, games, and sensory activities.
• Document program data accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with agency policies.
• Provide transportation as needed using agency vehicles.
• Participate in planning and executing daily activities, fostering a supportive environment.
• Maintain medication certification as required for full-time DSPs.
• Prepare meals and assist with personal care needs.

Requirements

• A valid NYS driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Physical ability to assist individuals with mobility restraints.
• Proficiency in using computers and various software platforms.
• A genuine desire to help others achieve their personal goals.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Knowledge of developmental and intellectual disabilities.
• First aid and CPR certification.
