Data Engineer - Remote Opportunity with BESIX

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our team at BESIX. This Data Engineer remote position offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects while collaborating with a dynamic team. You will build and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensuring high data quality and availability.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest and transform data from various sources including 3rd party software and industrial IoT.
• Assist in the onboarding and setup of the Azure Fabric platform.
• Apply software engineering best practices to data work, including modular code design and comprehensive testing.
• Participate in consultations with operational teams to develop robust technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with BESIX Group guidelines and policies.
• Facilitate smooth communication and project sharing between Franki Foundations and the BESIX Group.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company regarding Health, Safety, Environment & Quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science.
• First professional experience in a company.
• Fluent in French or Dutch with a good command of English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code.
• Experience with GitHub for managing code bases in a collaborative environment.
• Self-starter attitude with ownership of technical tasks.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with object-oriented programming and data-focused libraries.
• Experience in data engineering projects.
