About the Role
We are seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to join our innovative team at Northrop Grumman. What You'll Do
- Support the architecture and design of baked-in cybersecurity requirements and protections.
- Plan, implement, and perform assessments of allocated security controls, policies, and processes compliance.
- Translate allocated security controls into system and segment level requirements.
- Provide cybersecurity system engineering implementation guidance and oversight to technical teams.
- Review and assess stakeholder security objectives, protection needs, and concerns.
- Document findings and perform scanning/assessment tasks on program assets.
- Author and maintain cybersecurity program documentation and RMF package documentation.
- Identify, quantify, and evaluate the costs/benefits of security functions to inform analysis of alternatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience; Master's degree with 3 years; PhD with 0 years of relevant experience.
- Active Top Secret/SCI and Full-Scope Poly security clearance required at time of application.
- Possession of Security+ Certification or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification.
- Direct experience developing RMF assessment and authorization documentation.
- Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Experience with RMF (NIST 800-37) accreditation functions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with internal teams and external customers.
- Experience of Department of War (DoW)/Intelligence Community (IC) System Security Engineering activities.
Nice to Have
- Expertise with all aspects of Systems Security Engineering as defined in NIST SP 800-160.
- Experience working with DOORS and CAMEO Security related tool suites.
- Experience in configuring and implementing Rapid 7, Trellix, and Splunk.
- Experience in Communications Security (COMSEC).
- Operating systems certificate (Windows/Linux).
