Cyber Security & IT Specialist - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security & IT Specialist to join our team in a remote capacity. This Cyber Security & IT Specialist remote position plays a crucial role in enhancing and safeguarding our internal IT infrastructure across a rapidly growing, distributed organization.

What You'll Do

• Assess current IT systems, identify security risks, and recommend corrective measures.
• Implement organization-wide security protocols and standards, including multi-factor authentication and device security requirements.
• Manage identity and access across platforms such as Google Workspace, Slack, Shopify, and other cloud tools.
• Design structured onboarding and offboarding processes to secure system access.
• Provide guidance on the secure deployment and use of new tools and applications.
• Develop, document, and maintain internal IT security policies and best practices.
• Monitor compliance with established security measures and advise stakeholders on risk mitigation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, or related roles.
• Proven experience implementing security practices across modern SaaS environments.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management principles.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based systems, including Google Workspace, Slack, and other enterprise platforms.
• Ability to assess security risks and implement practical, effective solutions.
• Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
• Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with GDPR compliance and data protection regulations.
• Familiarity with various cybersecurity frameworks and methodologies.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
