About the Role

Join Deel as a Country Finance Manager and take charge of financial activities in South Africa. This remote role offers you the chance to spearhead all financial operations, ensuring compliance and efficiency in a rapidly growing company.

What You'll Do

• Oversee and develop all financial activities in South Africa, including accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and manage ledger entries, payroll, tax benefits, and contributions reports for regulatory bodies.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor day-to-day transactions and maintain up-to-date financial records.
• Ensure timely submissions to tax authorities, including VAT and CIT.
• Oversee payroll calculations and integration of payroll software.

Requirements

• ACCA/CPA or local equivalent is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5+ years as an accountant in high-tech companies.
• Proficiency in managing Payroll ERP systems, with experience in Netsuite preferred.
• Significant experience working in a global environment.
• Strong Excel and office skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Self-motivated with a detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset.
