About the Role

Brunel has an exciting opportunity for a Commissioning Manager (Contract) to join our team remotely. This role involves overseeing large-scale projects in the mining sector, specifically in Arizona and Chile. As a Commissioning Manager remote, you will manage multiple projects ranging from $5M to $800M, ensuring successful execution from planning to commissioning.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of comprehensive commissioning plans for capital projects.
  • Review P&IDs, design drawings, and specifications to understand project areas and pre-commissioning systems.
  • Interact and negotiate with clients, vendors, and contractors to align on commissioning goals.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities with construction sequences to expedite project completion.
  • Recruit, train, and manage commissioning staff to ensure effective project execution.
  • Conduct punch list inspections and oversee post-startup activities.
  • Develop overall startup and commissioning plans, including safety guidelines and operational requirements.
  • Ensure all commissioning activities are documented and captured in project systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in commissioning or project management.
  • Full fluency in Spanish is required.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Experience in mining construction projects is preferred.
