Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - 2nd Line Support (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team on a fully remote basis. This Cloud Infrastructure Engineer remote position is a 6-month contract where you will provide 2nd line support for production Microsoft Azure-hosted solutions. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the stability, security, and performance of live cloud platforms.

What You'll Do

• Provide 2nd line support for Azure-based infrastructure and platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents within agreed SLAs.
• Maintain and improve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates and deployment pipelines.
• Proactively identify performance, security, and cost optimization opportunities.
• Assist with CI/CD pipelines and operational automation in a DevOps-focused environment.
• Support change and release activities, including testing and validation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a 2nd line cloud or infrastructure support role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or similar.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of APIs, authentication, and common data formats.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud security best practices.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
