Client Partner - Remote Consultancy Role

About the Role

We are seeking a Client Partner - Remote to join our growing team at YLD. As a remote-first consultancy specializing in software engineering, product design, and data, we are committed to helping our clients succeed. Your role will be pivotal in supporting our clients and ensuring seamless engagement, which is essential for our mutual success.

What You'll Do

• Develop partnerships with clients, fostering trust and understanding their needs and concerns.
• Coordinate and motivate team members, providing leadership and direction with a focus on Agile facilitation.
• Participate in regular account reviews with clients, serving as a primary point of contact for any issues that arise.
• Provide weekly client updates to the wider YLD team, ensuring transparency and communication.
• Support profitability and performance metrics across engagements, ensuring timely billing and payment processes.
• Elevate YLD’s image within client organizations by contributing ideas for potential improvements.
• Collaborate with the People & Operations team on staffing matters, participating in the interviewing process.
• Effectively address people-centric issues impacting client engagement, ensuring strong team health and collaboration.
• Document actions and follow-ups, ensuring effective implementation.

Requirements

• Some experience in a software development consultancy or similar environment.
• Understanding of consulting and stakeholder management.
• Great organizational skills, with the ability to stay on top of tasks and work in a well-organized manner.
• Familiarity with software delivery in varied settings; previous roles within a delivery team are advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, with an aptitude for building professional relationships.
• Ability to think strategically and tackle issues with a pragmatic approach.
• Strong facilitation, diplomacy, and negotiation skills.
• Financial acumen and a commercial mindset, while also supporting team health and delivery effectiveness.
• A commitment to diversity, fairness, and inclusion.

Nice to Have

• Experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Delivery Lead.
• Proven track record of successful client engagement.
• Ability to explain technical ideas in business-friendly terms.
