Business Analyst - Merchant Finance & Treasury (Remote)

About the Role

We're hiring a Business Analyst - Merchant Finance & Treasury (Remote) to join our dynamic team at Adyen. This role is pivotal in optimizing and automating financial processes, ensuring timely payouts to our merchants, and supporting our growth ambitions. You will work closely with a diverse team, leveraging your analytical skills to solve complex financial challenges.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor daily payouts operations, managing exceptions, failures, and rejects while collaborating with external partners and internal teams to resolve issues quickly.
• Execute daily cash-management operations to ensure sufficient balances for payouts.
• Enhance internal processes focused on merchant payouts to scale our business effectively.
• Provide insights to internal stakeholders on financial and operational processes to influence key decision-making.
• Utilize data analysis to address business challenges, drawing actionable conclusions and recommendations for optimization.
• Partner with technical and product teams to design, automate, and improve processes with robust controls and monitoring.
• Build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and progress tracking.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of work experience in a relevant field.
• Experience in high-volume payouts, accounts payable, treasury operations, or banking operations is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate detailed requirements into effective business solutions.
• Familiarity with the payments ecosystem (e.g., ACH) in the US is advantageous.
• Experience with process improvement, optimization, and/or automation is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with data analysis tools such as Looker and Grafana.
• Ability to work independently while managing priorities and meeting strict deadlines.
