Backend Software Engineer - Activations Squad (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Backend Software Engineer - Activations Squad (Remote) to join our dynamic team at Alkami Technology. As a remote-first company, you will have the opportunity to work from anywhere in the United States while contributing to our innovative digital sales and service platform for U.S. banks and credit unions. Our platform integrates onboarding, digital banking, and marketing solutions, empowering institutions to enhance their customer relationships through technology.

What You'll Do

• Enhance the process of onboarding new clients by integrating with core provider APIs.
• Work on third-party integrations such as Check Book ordering and ACH Transfers, improving product services.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their online account opening processes and partner with our product team to implement necessary adjustments.
• Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, focusing on long-term viability and performance.
• Provide technical guidance and conduct code reviews to elevate the quality of work within the team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in backend development and API design.
• Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
• Proficiency in NodeJS and experience with REST APIs.
• Familiarity with microservice architectures and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to self-manage and estimate project timelines.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI technologies and their application in backend systems.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in a collaborative team environment.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and deployment strategies.
