Associate Engineer - Automation and Controls (Remote)
About the Role
Join EdgeCore Digital Infrastructure as an Associate Engineer, Automation and Controls. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and operation of cutting-edge data center infrastructure. As part of our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in supporting mission-critical Building Management and Electrical Power Monitoring systems.
What You'll Do
- Act as the on-site subject matter expert for Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM).
- Engage in hands-on technical work, troubleshooting equipment in the field, and integrating new technologies.
- Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair BMS, EPMS, and DCIM systems to ensure they operate securely and efficiently.
- Support system programming, troubleshooting, and quality assurance validation (QA/QC) during commissioning.
- Create and maintain documentation, policies, procedures, test plans, and change management records.
- Provide on-call support for emergency incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
- Coordinate delivery of vendor-supplied services and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering, Cybersecurity Technology, or Computer Sciences.
- Six years of equivalent experience in building, maintaining, and operating BMS and EPMS.
- Strong understanding of operational technology (OT) networks and common control system communication protocols.
- Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and deliverables.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Tridium Niagara and Schneider Electric Ecostruxure systems.
- Familiarity with standards development and process frameworks for commercial control systems.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in system management.
