Senior Modelling Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We have a new opportunity for an exceptional Senior Modelling Engineer to join our Technology function remotely! This Senior Modelling Engineer remote position is key to developing and maintaining compact models for transistors and passive components, which are crucial for our PDK releases. You will be part of a dynamic and supportive Characterisation team, reporting to the Senior Manager - Platform Characterisation.

What You'll Do

• Develop methods for expressing device-level electrical performance to internal teams and external customers through documentation, models, and tools.
• Collaborate with test development and manufacturing test teams to generate wafer-level data efficiently.
• Conduct timely analysis of large datasets, providing summaries that highlight key trends and link these trends to physical mechanisms.
• Work within the “New Technology Introduction” process to define and execute platform characterisation programs to validate the device-level electrical performance of individual thin film transistors and similar components.
• Interface between Emerging Technology and Operations teams to transition nascent technology from initial understanding to volume manufacture.

Requirements

• Degree level qualification in Maths, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in a device-level characterisation role.
• Strong knowledge of Semiconductor Device Physics.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis techniques using tools such as Python, R, MATLAB, etc.
• Experience in compact model development for transistors and passive components.
• Ability to produce technical reports and communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
• Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., IC Design, Process Integration, Test and Validation).

Nice to Have

• Experience working with silicon foundry PDKs and compact models.
• Knowledge of novel semiconductor materials and electrical properties.
• Hands-on experience of wafer-level electrical measurement.
