Automotive Receptionist/​Cashier - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for an Automotive Receptionist/Cashier remote to join our team at Byers Automotive. Our family-owned dealership has been serving the community since 1897, and we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service to our customers. As an Automotive Receptionist/Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and contributing to our mission of making every customer a customer for life.

What You'll Do

• Calculate customer bills using the dealership’s computer system.
• Receive cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers and accurately record the amounts.
• Issue receipts and make change for customers.
• Answer phones and direct customers to the appropriate departments, ensuring timely follow-up.
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer them to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
• Operate the switchboard telephone system and communicate professionally with callers.
• Assist managers with various clerical duties as needed.
• Maintain a friendly, professional, and efficient demeanor when interacting with customers and employees.

Requirements

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
• Basic bookkeeping knowledge is a plus.
• General office work experience, including balancing banks and closing repair orders.
• Professional personal appearance and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including one Saturday per month.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in an automotive or retail environment.
