Station Manager - Oslo Airport
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Station Manager to oversee our operations at Oslo Airport (OSL). As a Station Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety, operational excellence, and customer service are achieved. This is a key leadership position that requires a strategic mindset and a deep understanding of the aviation industry.
What You'll Do
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the overall strategy for the OSL station, ensuring alignment with Red Handling’s business goals and objectives.
- Operational Performance: Oversee all station activities, including Check-in, Arrivals, Gates, and the Station Control Centre (SCC), to ensure efficiency, punctuality, and service quality.
- Financial Management: Hold full accountability for the station's budget, including forecasting, cost control, and financial performance to meet and exceed targets.
- Team & Performance Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the station's management team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure the station operates in full compliance with all aviation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Act as the primary representative for Red Handling at OSL, building and maintaining strong relationships with airport authorities, airline partners, and other external stakeholders.
- Customer Experience: Champion a customer-centric culture, ensuring a consistently positive experience for all passengers.
- Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular, structured reports to senior leadership on station performance, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8-10 years of leadership experience in airport ground handling or airline operations.
- Proven track record of leading large, multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced airport environment.
- Strong financial acumen, with extensive experience in budget management and achieving financial targets.
- Expert knowledge of ground handling processes, aviation safety regulations, and compliance standards.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate strategy into actionable operational plans.
Nice to Have
- Experience with digital transformation in aviation operations.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices in the aviation industry.
- Fluency in Norwegian or other Scandinavian languages.
