Associate UX Designer - Remote Healthcare Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking an Associate UX Designer remote to join our team at Visana Health, a comprehensive virtual women’s health clinic. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the patient and provider experience across our digital products. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and clinical teams to design intuitive and accessible user experiences that support personalized care. This position is perfect for someone early in their UX career who wants to grow their design skills while contributing to meaningful healthcare solutions.

What You'll Do

• Design wireframes, prototypes, and user flows for web and mobile applications, translating user needs and product requirements into clear and intuitive interface designs.
• Support the creation and refinement of design solutions that improve usability and patient engagement.
• Work closely with product managers, engineers, clinicians, and other stakeholders to understand goals and user needs, contributing design ideas and feedback during product planning and development.
• Participate in user research activities including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, analyzing feedback and behavioral data to identify friction points in the user experience.
• Help maintain design consistency across Visana’s digital products by following established design systems and accessibility guidelines.
• Stay current on UX trends, best practices, emerging design tools, and evolving AI technologies that support design, research, and workflow efficiency.
• Bring fresh ideas that improve the usability and clarity of Visana’s patient experience.
• Develop familiarity with new AI-assisted tools and platforms that can enhance prototyping, research synthesis, and overall product design processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• A website portfolio demonstrating UX design work with at least three detailed case studies that show problem definition, design process, and outcomes.
• 2 to 5 years of professional UX or UI design experience; internship experience may be considered depending on the scope of work.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote and cross-functional environment.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Interest in healthcare and improving digital patient experiences.

Nice to Have

• Experience working on healthcare or health technology products.
• Familiarity with remote collaboration tools such as Slack and Google Meet.
• Experience supporting usability testing or user research activities.
• Experience working in Webflow or similar website platforms.
