About the Role

Join our team as an Associate Director - Tax Controller and Deputy Finance Manager, where your expertise in finance and tax will play a crucial role in shaping our London Branch's operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our Head Office in Hannover, ensuring that our tax landscape is modern, reliable, and insight-driven. As an integral part of our finance team, you will thrive in a collaborative environment that values curiosity and open communication.

What You'll Do

  • Take full ownership of our tax landscape by preparing and submitting all direct and indirect taxes, including Transfer Pricing, Corporation Tax, and VAT.
  • Drive the month-end close process, leading balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Enhance financial controls and refine processes to maintain high-quality documentation and ensure audit readiness.
  • Collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and provide support when needed.
  • Contribute to transparent financial planning and forecasting, utilizing your analytical skills to inform decision-making.
  • Strengthen collaboration with our Head Office in Hannover, aligning processes and sharing best practices across locations.

Requirements

  • At least five years of financial, management, and tax accounting experience within financial services.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables; experience with Sage or SAP is a plus.
  • A hands-on all-rounder who enjoys working end-to-end across financial processes.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as within a supportive team setting.

Nice to Have

  • Solid understanding of banking products such as loans and swaps.
  • ACCA or CIMA qualification (or equivalent).
  • German language skills are considered a plus.
