Associate Director of Marketing - Arts & Culture
About the Role

What You'll Do
- Devise, develop, and implement seasonal and annual marketing and media plans in collaboration with the Chief Communications Officer (CCO) that elevate MASS MoCA and its programming.
- Secure media partnerships and negotiate media buys based on priority audience segments and reach.
- Write and oversee the design and placement of marketing materials across print, radio, out-of-home, social, and digital platforms.
- Manage the marketing budget and ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Oversee content strategy and tone in alignment with brand guidelines for the museum's website and social media.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets to promote both regional and tourism audiences.
- Analyze marketing campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics and social media analytics to report on goals and ROI.
- Supervise the Sr. Manager of Marketing Operations, managing their day-to-day duties and performance management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a preference for candidates holding a degree in marketing or a related field.
- 7-10 years of relevant professional experience, particularly within cultural institutions.
- Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a writing sample required from selected candidates.
- Working knowledge of CRMs, with Tessitura experience being ideal.
- Proven experience managing websites and analytics technologies to engage diverse audiences.
- Strong time and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining composure with media partners and colleagues.
