Director of Manager Effectiveness - Remote Position

About the Role

We are excited to announce an opening for the Director of Manager Effectiveness and Competency Implementation remote position at IDEA Public Schools. This role is pivotal in ensuring that every manager is equipped with the necessary skills and tools to lead their teams effectively. The target start date for this position is July 1, 2026, and it offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the leadership capabilities within our organization.

What You'll Do

• Design and deliver high-quality training programs that teach managers how to apply IDEA’s leadership competencies in practical situations.
• Translate frameworks into actionable tools that help managers effectively coach, give feedback, and manage performance.
• Drive the implementation of leadership competencies and rubrics across all teams, ensuring consistency and alignment.
• Build scalable, technology-enabled learning content that leverages AI tools to enhance learning experiences.
• Analyze engagement data and performance trends to identify gaps in manager practices and create targeted learning solutions.
• Partner with HR and other teams to ensure competencies are embedded in onboarding and evaluations.
• Lead communication and training strategies that ensure new tools and expectations are implemented effectively.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance manager effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in talent development or organizational development.
• At least 2 years of experience managing a team.
• Proven experience designing and facilitating adult learning.
• Strong coaching and feedback skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite and experience with LMS administration.
• Experience with data analysis tools like Excel and Power BI.
• Ability to influence without positional authority.

• Experience with generative AI tools.
• Experience coaching senior leaders.
• Experience creating large-scale professional learning programs.
