About the Role
We are seeking to recruit a highly enthusiastic and talented individual for the role of Apprentice Purchasing Clerk. As an Apprentice Purchasing Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, making a significant impact on our operations.
What You'll Do
- Process purchase orders using internal software systems to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Sort and organize purchase orders to support the purchasing department’s operations.
- Coordinate with suppliers to track the status of goods being purchased, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Assist the logistics officer with various processes related to shipping and receiving.
- Coordinate courier services, including booking shipments and tracking the movement of goods.
- Prepare routine shipping documentation and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Sort and organize shipping and procurement documents for easy access and retrieval.
- Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate records within the supply chain systems.
- Support day-to-day supply chain operations and assist with ad hoc tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration at MCAST.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in using computer software and data entry tasks.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in a supply chain or purchasing role.
- Familiarity with logistics and shipping processes.
- Basic understanding of procurement practices.
