AI Automation Consultant - Remote Opportunity

What You'll Do

• Lead conversations with founders, operators, and team leads to map out current workflows across various departments including sales, operations, finance, and marketing.
• Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and manual processes, asking sharp questions to uncover the true workings of the business.
• Evaluate opportunities for automation, augmentation with AI, or elimination of unnecessary processes.
• Produce a structured deliverable that includes a breakdown of current workflows, identified automation opportunities, and a recommended implementation plan.
• Collaborate with engineers and builders to translate the roadmap into clear specifications for the implementation team.
• Provide light project oversight to ensure alignment with the original vision and adjust the roadmap based on technical constraints or new insights.

Requirements

• Strong analytical and practical skills with the ability to think in systems and workflows.
• Experience in consulting, operations, product, or systems design.
• Familiarity with AI tools, workflow automation platforms, and the ability to break down complex problems into structured plans.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience leading client-facing conversations.

Nice to Have

• Experience building or implementing automations yourself.
• Background in startups, agencies, or operational roles.
• Familiarity with e-commerce, service businesses, or SMBs.
• Experience writing clear documentation and specifications.
