About the Role

We are seeking an Account Executive remote to join our innovative team at Saltz. As an Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how chefs order food, leveraging our digital marketplace to enhance their culinary experiences. This position offers a unique opportunity to connect directly with chefs and gastronomy businesses, making a significant impact in the food industry.

What You'll Do

  • Introduce Saltz to chefs, restaurant owners, and F&B managers, convincing them to utilize our platform for their ordering needs.
  • Manage a portfolio of HoReCa accounts, focusing on growth and relationship-building rather than mere maintenance.
  • Conduct regular client visits to understand their challenges and identify how Saltz can provide additional value.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities by engaging in meaningful conversations and listening to client needs.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including chefs and procurement teams, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to translate client feedback into actionable improvements for our platform.
  • Drive account activity to ensure consistent ordering and engagement with our marketplace.
  • Represent Saltz at industry events and meetings, utilizing your credibility in the HoReCa sector to open doors.

Requirements

  • Experience in selling food products to restaurants, hotels, or other HoReCa clients, with a background in distribution or wholesale.
  • Strong understanding of food pricing, margins, and the decision-making processes of chefs.
  • A proven track record of growing existing accounts, demonstrating your ability to foster long-term relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple relationships simultaneously while maintaining high service standards.
  • Fluent in German (C1) and proficient in English.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with digital marketplaces or SaaS tools tailored for the hospitality industry.
  • Experience selling to hotel chains or multi-unit restaurant operators.
  • An existing network within the local HoReCa market.
  • Proficiency in additional languages.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary ranging from €48,000 to €65,000 annually, based on experience and position level.
  • Uncapped commission structure on top of the base salary.
