Account Executive - Digital Marketplace for Food Industry
About the Role
We're hiring an Account Executive to join our team at Saltz, a pioneering digital marketplace for the food industry. As an Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in transforming how chefs order food. This position is fully remote, allowing you to connect with clients across Europe while working from the comfort of your home.
What You'll Do
- Introduce Saltz to chefs, restaurant owners, and F&B managers, convincing them to place orders through our innovative platform.
- Own and grow a portfolio of restaurant and HoReCa accounts, ensuring they receive the best service and support.
- Regularly visit clients to understand their challenges and identify how Saltz can provide additional value.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts by engaging in meaningful conversations.
- Build strong relationships with chefs, GMs, and procurement teams, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.
- Collaborate with internal teams to turn client feedback into actionable insights for platform improvements.
- Drive growth by maintaining active orders from your accounts and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Represent Saltz at industry events and trade shows, leveraging your HoReCa credibility to open doors.
Requirements
- Experience in selling food products to restaurants, hotels, or HoReCa clients, with a background in distribution, wholesale, or food supply.
- Strong understanding of food pricing, margins, and the buying decisions of chefs.
- A proven track record of growing existing accounts rather than just closing new ones.
- Ability to manage multiple relationships simultaneously without compromising service quality.
- Fluent in German (C1) and proficient in English.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with digital tools and marketplaces in the hospitality industry.
- Experience selling to hotel chains or multi-unit restaurant operators.
- An existing network in the local HoReCa market.
- Proficiency in additional languages.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary: €46,000 - €58,000 for mid-level and €55,000 - €65,000 for senior positions.
- Uncapped commission structure on top of the base salary.
