Working Student in Photovoltaic Consulting - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Working Student in Photovoltaic Consulting to join our team at renerco plan consult. This remote opportunity allows you to contribute to the energy transition actively. As a Working Student, you will engage in various tasks that support our photovoltaic consulting efforts, working approximately 16-20 hours per week.
What You'll Do
- Assist in creating yield forecasts and yield reports for photovoltaic systems.
- Conduct data-driven analyses of PV parks and develop optimization solutions.
- Enhance tools for performance and operational data evaluations.
- Gather and analyze meteorological data to support project assessments.
- Support research efforts and prepare data for internal databases.
- Participate in site inspections and evaluations of photovoltaic installations.
Requirements
- Enrolled student in engineering, natural sciences, or business studies (e.g., energy technology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or data science).
- Strong affinity for data and enjoyment in working with large, complex datasets.
- Good knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, VBA) for analysis and tool optimization.
- Initial experience with measurement, operational, or meteorological data is a plus.
- Excellent MS Office skills, especially in Excel, ideally complemented by experience with visualization tools.
- Analytical and structured working style with motivation to tackle new technical and data-driven challenges.
- Interest in yield analyses, performance evaluations, and optimization of PV systems.
- Team-oriented and reliable work ethic, with a willingness to participate in occasional site visits.
Nice to Have
- Experience in renewable energy projects.
- Familiarity with energy market trends.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages.
