About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Wild Boar Night Shift Operator to join our team remotely. As a Wild Boar Night Shift Operator, you will safely and efficiently operate large surface mining equipment used in the mining, preparation, or shipment of coal. This role is essential for ensuring the production of affordable, reliable energy and steel.

What You'll Do

  • Safely operate large mining equipment such as Caterpillar bulldozers and end loaders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain high safety standards for yourself and others.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to coordinate operations.
  • Recognize and adjust to changing conditions in active mining areas.
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work in various conditions, including extreme weather, dust, and noise.
  • Follow Company, State, and Federal regulations, plans, and policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating large mining equipment.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift 10 - 50 lbs. frequently during shifts.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic math and writing skills.
  • Willingness to work any assigned shift, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to recognize potential safety hazards in various mining areas.

Nice to Have

  • Experience operating large draglines.
  • Certification in heavy equipment operation.
  • Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets.
