About the Role

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Internship in Continuous Improvement of Brake Component Testing to join our team at NMBS. This internship will allow you to gain hands-on experience in the testing and revision of brake components, working alongside a dedicated team of approximately 35 professionals. As an intern, you will learn how to ensure that the testing installations in the brake division continue to operate smoothly. This role is perfect for those interested in engineering and technology.

What You'll Do

• Assist in the automation of brake tests for brake components.
• Develop and establish test procedures.
• Program primarily in LabVIEW, VB, and C# with .Net.
• Create technical drawings and designs using CAD.
• Help design new testing installations and create PID and electrical schematics.
• Draft maintenance plans and work instructions for testing installations and brake components.
• Address daily issues that arise, utilizing problem-solving skills and technical reading comprehension.
• Collaborate with your internship supervisor on spontaneous projects.

Requirements

• Education level: Relevant field of study in engineering or technology.
• Interest in automation and programming.
• Basic knowledge of IT and programming languages.
• Familiarity with CAD software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to read technical schematics.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience with LabVIEW or similar programming environments.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering concepts.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
