Laboratory Technician - Microbiology Focus (Remote)

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician - Microbiology Focus (Remote) to join Octapharma, one of the largest human protein operators in the world. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality control of our microbiological processes, supporting our mission to develop and produce medications from human plasma and cell lines.

What You'll Do

• Conduct environmental and process fluid sampling in classified production areas.
• Perform germ enumeration analyses on in-process samples, fluids, and non-biological raw materials.
• Execute sterility and fertility tests of culture media and sterility tests of distributed products.
• Identify microbial contaminants and ensure quality control during media fill tests.
• Document results in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and address any non-conformities according to established procedures.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and participate in organizational management tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Requirements

• Scientific degree Bac+2 with a specialization in microbiology, biology, or bioanalysis.
• Proven experience in laboratory analyses related to microbiological quality control.
• Creative mindset with knowledge of microbiological sampling and analysis techniques.
• Reliable, autonomous, and highly motivated with the ability to work in a team.
• Organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a regulated environment (e.g., pharmaceutical or biotechnology).
• Familiarity with LIMS and quality management systems.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
