Vehicle Preparation Technician - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Preparation Technician to join our team at De Lijn. This remote opportunity allows you to play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our tram services. As a Vehicle Preparation Technician, you will be responsible for preparing trams for service, ensuring they are safe and ready for passengers. What You'll Do

• Perform preparatory work on trams to ensure they are ready for operation.
• Sand the vehicles and clean them thoroughly.
• Conduct minor repairs and report major defects.
• Refill fluids and maintain vehicle readiness.
• Create a schedule for which vehicles can be dispatched.
• Move and arrange vehicles as needed.

Requirements

• Strong motivation and a willingness to learn.
• Basic knowledge of (auto) mechanics or a strong affinity for technical work.
• Hands-on experience with tools and various materials.
• Analytical and planning skills with logical reasoning ability.
• Valid driver's license B is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of Dutch for safety and work instructions.
• Willingness to work in a shift system.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in vehicle maintenance or preparation.
• Knowledge of safety regulations in public transport.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
