UX/​UI Designer - Remote Position for Mental Health Support

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate UX/UI Designer to join our team at krisenchat. This remote position will allow you to contribute to our mission of providing support to children and adolescents in mental health crisis situations. Starting on May 1, 2026, and fixed until December 31, 2026, this role is pivotal in shaping our digital products. You will collaborate with psychologists, developers, and fellow designers in an agile environment, focusing on trauma-informed design that resonates with our young audience.

What You'll Do

• Engage in cross-functional collaboration to conceive new features that address the needs of our users.
• Utilize your knowledge of UX methodologies to conduct research, create user personas, and map user journeys.
• Design high-fidelity UI layouts, ensuring consistency in typography and visual elements.
• Support the entire product lifecycle, from research and prototyping to usability testing and final handoff to developers.
• Maintain and enhance our Design System using tools like Figma, ensuring a cohesive user experience across all platforms.

Requirements

• A degree in UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in UX/UI design, preferably in health or youth-focused projects.
• Proficient in design tools such as Miro, Figma, and FigJam.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and the end-to-end design process.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting design decisions and collaborating with team members.

Nice to Have

• Experience working within a Design System.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed design principles.
• Basic understanding of technical limitations in design implementation.
