About the Role

We are seeking an HR Generalist to join our team in a fully remote capacity. As an HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in managing the end-to-end recruitment process across India, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, and maintaining employee records. This HR Generalist remote position offers you the opportunity to work flexibly while contributing to the growth of our organization.

What You'll Do

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts, including creating job postings, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and managing ATS updates.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes by preparing offer letters, coordinating background verifications, and ensuring a smooth induction for remote hires.
  • Operate and maintain HRIS and employee records, updating master data, reconciling attendance, and supporting monthly payroll coordination with payroll vendors.
  • Ensure statutory compliance and record-keeping for India, assisting with PF/ESI filings, professional tax, labor law adherence, and audit documentation.
  • Handle employee relations and engagement by addressing grievances, supporting manager-employee conversations, and running periodic engagement activities and pulse surveys.
  • Support performance management and HR policy execution by tracking appraisals, maintaining HR dashboards, and implementing policy updates for a remote workforce.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience in an HR generalist or HR executive role, specifically handling recruitment, onboarding, and HR operations.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems, along with strong proficiency in MS Excel for reporting.
  • Practical knowledge of payroll coordination and statutory compliance in India (PF, ESI, professional tax).
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations and onboarding for remote/distributed teams.
  • Excellent record-keeping skills, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple HR workflows independently.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as Zoho People, BambooHR, or Workday.
  • Exposure to HR analytics, dashboards, and basic reporting (HR metrics, attrition, hiring velocity).
  • HR certification (SHRM/PHR/CHRP) or formal training in Indian labor law is advantageous.
