UAT Test Lead - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a UAT Test Lead to join our team at the Bank of England. This UAT Test Lead remote position plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our banking operations. As the UAT Test Lead, you will lead a team of testers, overseeing the User Acceptance Testing process across various change initiatives within the Banking Operations Strategy and Change (BOSCH) team. Your leadership will help maintain the high standards necessary for the smooth operation of the UK’s financial system.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage a team of up to four UAT Test Analysts, ensuring effective delivery of testing processes.
• Oversee the entire UAT lifecycle, from planning and scope definition to execution oversight and test-phase closure.
• Communicate test progress, risks, and decisions clearly to stakeholders, ensuring transparency throughout the testing process.
• Identify opportunities to enhance UAT processes and tooling, introducing improvements that strengthen quality and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate test progress and reporting through Jira/Xray and other agreed tools.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading UAT within financial services or financial-messaging environments.
• Demonstrable people-management experience, including setting objectives and managing performance.
• Strong experience in planning, execution, defect management, and test reporting for complex changes.
• Proficiency in Jira/Xray and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure.

Nice to Have

• Experience with ISO 20022-based change.
• Exposure to cross-system testing across multiple teams or divisions.
• ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst or similar certifications.
