Test Equipment Quality Engineer - Remote Opportunities

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Test Equipment Quality Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. This Test Equipment Quality Engineer remote position offers the chance to work with a leading defense contractor, contributing to projects that enhance national security. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of test equipment used in various defense applications.

What You'll Do

• Support all phases from Test Equipment Proposals through Retirement (Cradle to Grave).
• Act as a Quality Subject Matter Expert, collaborating with Test Manufacturing leadership to drive down defects.
• Develop, update, and maintain process documentation surrounding Test Equipment Quality.
• Manage Quality Notes (Q-Notes) in the Engineering Manufacturing Management System (EMMS).
• Conduct drawing reviews and assess engineering work products to identify and eliminate defects.
• Participate in Software reviews and ensure compliance with engineering documentation standards.
• Oversee root cause analysis and facilitate corrective actions to improve processes.
• Travel to local suppliers to maintain relationships and work on ongoing process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Test Equipment, Manufacturing, Quality, or Engineering in the aerospace or defense industry.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
• Experience interpreting Mechanical, Electrical, and Software drawings/specifications.

Nice to Have

• Prior Quality Engineering experience in a regulated environment.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Test Automation techniques.
• Familiarity with Test Equipment development and testing processes.
