About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Writer to join our team at TOMRA, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing our documentation processes. This Technical Writer remote position allows you to work from anywhere while contributing to sustainable technology solutions. You will be responsible for creating, editing, and reviewing technical documents, ensuring all materials meet high-quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.

What You'll Do

• Create and revise technical documents using our content management system (SCHEMA ST4), including user manuals and software documentation.
• Independently research and prepare technical information, ensuring clarity and accessibility for various audiences.
• Utilize tools such as SolidWorks Composer and Adobe Creative Cloud to create graphics that enhance our documentation.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute documentation projects, delivering complete packages to customers on schedule.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations, contributing to the optimization of our processes and tooling.
• Stay updated with trends in technical documentation, including multimedia documentation and tutorials.

Requirements

• A degree in technical writing, communication, or a related field, or a technical background with further training as a technical writer.
• Strong written and spoken English and German skills.
• Experience with industry-standard tools such as CMS (Schema ST4), SolidWorks Composer, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across departments.
• Ability to analyze and convey technical information clearly to target audiences.
• Prior experience in technical documentation is an asset.

Nice to Have

• Good knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, such as the Machinery Directive.
• Familiarity with AI tools for documentation optimization.
