System Administrator - Managed Services /​ DevOps (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented System Administrator - Managed Services / DevOps (Remote) to join our dynamic team at Dataciders. In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation of our clients' environments as part of our Managed Services offering. Your expertise in system administration and DevOps will be critical in delivering innovative IT solutions that drive success for our clients.

What You'll Do

• Manage and maintain client environments within our Managed Services framework.
• Design, install, and configure virtual machines and Kubernetes clusters.
• Set up and maintain virtual networks, VPN endpoints, and firewall configurations.
• Perform installations, configuration, and maintenance of applications, focusing on container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor systems and applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Document and control regular backups, ensuring data integrity.
• Enhance monitoring solutions and provide technical support to clients, including assistance with container deployment and execution.
• Participate in on-call rotations and occasionally handle tasks outside regular office hours.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize deployments and operations.

Requirements

• Completed training as an IT specialist in system integration or a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems and experience in DevOps, ideally with Kubernetes and container technologies.
• Understanding of networking, firewalls, and IT security principles.
• Self-motivated and structured work style with a high degree of reliability.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to take on responsibility.
• Very good German language skills are required.
• Ideally, reside near Nuremberg for regular office presence.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Oracle databases.
