Support Driver - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Support Driver to join our team at Network Plus. This Support Driver remote position involves driving and operating a drop side van, loading and delivering materials to work sites, and collecting barriers, cones, and fittings after work completion. As a Support Driver remote, you will also be responsible for carrying out jet washes and ensuring the safety of your operations.

What You'll Do

• Drive and operate a drop side van to transport materials to and from local depots, suppliers, and builders’ merchants.
• Load and deliver materials while adhering to safety protocols and lifting weights up to 25kg.
• Work unsociable hours occasionally to support operational teams during emergencies.
• Maintain the security, cleanliness, and good care of the company vehicle and equipment.
• Complete all necessary documentation in accordance with company and contract requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and report safety issues as per company procedures.
• Utilize GARD (smartphone system) to deliver feedback and liaise with the Support Services and Street Works Team.
• Maintain good customer and client relations for the benefit of the company.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence.
• Full Towing licence.
• NRSWA Unit 2 certification.
• Good knowledge of site safety and site setups.
• Experience in driving and towing plant equipment.
• Ability to work safely and project a good company image.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with teams and clients.
• Experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in logistics or support roles.
• Knowledge of local area and routes.
• Experience with smartphone systems for reporting.
