About the Role

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join Paradigm Health in a remote capacity. In this role, you will be a Technical Leader for the Planning and Recruiting team, focusing on enhancing our Front End architecture. Your expertise will help bridge complex clinical business requirements with elegant, performant user interfaces.

What You’ll Do

  • Technical Leadership & Architecture: Define and champion the long-term vision for our Front End architecture, including state management strategies, component library evolution, and build tool migration.
  • Drive Engineering Standards: Establish organization-wide best practices for the UI layer, ensuring code quality through strict linting and comprehensive testing strategies.
  • Production & Observability: Own the lifecycle of the Front End from local development to production, implementing monitoring best practices to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Product Partnership & Strategy: Partner with Product Managers and Designers to translate complex business needs into technical specifications.
  • Cross-Team Impact: Drive large cross-team initiatives from start to finish, breaking down multi-quarter epics into iterative technical plans.
  • Domain Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of the clinical trial domain to proactively suggest technical solutions.
  • Mentorship & Culture: Actively mentor engineers and foster collaboration between Backend and Frontend teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Front End development.
  • Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and CSS/Styling architectures.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and production troubleshooting.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work timely and reliably.
  • Excellent communication skills and a product-first mindset.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with micro-frontend architectures.
  • Familiarity with modern build tools like Webpack, Vite, or Turborepo.
  • Knowledge of WCAG for accessible design.
