Head Housekeeper - Eastridge Manor (Care Sector)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Head Housekeeper to join our team at Eastridge Manor, a nursing home located in Bolney, England. This Head Housekeeper position offers a unique opportunity to lead our housekeeping team in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene for our residents. As a Head Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, contributing to the overall well-being of our residents. This is a full-time position with a commitment of 40 hours per week.

What You'll Do

• Plan, implement, and supervise all cleaning operations in accordance with company policies.
• Ensure adequate stock levels of cleaning supplies are maintained at all times.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure that cleanliness and hygiene standards are consistently met.
• Supervise and support the domestic team, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues to foster a supportive community.

Requirements

• Health and Hygiene Certificate and NVQ in Housekeeping/Cleaning are desirable.
• Previous supervisory experience or skills in a housekeeping environment.
• Experience and knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
• Essential previous housekeeping experience in a care setting.
• A strong sense of pride in your work and a commitment to providing a safe and well-maintained home for residents.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a healthcare or nursing home environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
