Senior Corporate Accounting Specialist - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Corporate Accounting Specialist to join our team in a fully remote capacity. As a Senior Corporate Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing monthly consolidated financial statements and managing various reports as part of our corporate reporting framework.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and oversee the monthly consolidated financial statements for the organization.
• Actively participate in corporate planning and independently conduct various scenario calculations.
• Review central accounting and posting guidelines across subsidiaries.
• Continuously develop group-wide accounting policies and reporting processes.
• Assess accounting issues and create well-founded decision-making templates for management.
• Support the development and implementation of tax optimization concepts within various projects.

Requirements

• Master's degree in economics with a focus on accounting and consolidation.
• At least five years of professional experience in the aforementioned areas.
• Experience in an international environment, such as in industrial companies, auditing firms, or international projects.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and corporate accounting according to HGB.
• Experience with consolidation software such as ElkomKons, IBM Planning Analytics TM1, SAP SEM-BCS, HFM, LucaNet, or Tagetik.
• Proficient in common IT applications with a strong affinity for numbers and excellent analytical skills.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French or Spanish is a plus.
• A high degree of flexibility, initiative, and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in financial modeling and forecasting.
• Familiarity with international accounting standards (IFRS).
• Previous experience in a remote working environment.
