Staff Frontend Engineer - React & Next.js for AI Startup

About the Role

We are seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to join our innovative team at DualEntry, a rapidly growing AI startup focused on transforming the finance and ERP industry. This Staff Frontend Engineer remote position offers you the opportunity to build and maintain high-performance, scalable web applications that deliver seamless user experiences. You will have full ownership of major components of the product UI, primarily utilizing React and Next.js, to create intuitive and interactive workflows that simplify complex processes.

What You'll Do

• Build, ship, and own key parts of the product UI utilizing React and Next.js.
• Design and optimize interactive experiences to simplify complex workflows.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to ensure seamless integration and clarity.
• Contribute to defining and maintaining the frontend system and component library as the product scales.
• Elevate product quality through thoughtful attention to detail and user-centric design.
• Participate in daily deployment, rapid iteration, and continuous improvement processes.
• Identify and troubleshoot frontend issues, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Stay updated on the latest frontend development trends and incorporate best practices into the team’s workflow.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in frontend development, especially with React; Next.js experience is a strong plus.
• Proven expertise in building responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces.
• Experience with API development and testing, including familiarity with HTTP, Postman, and debugging tools.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and attention to design details.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (C1+).
• Curiosity and autonomy to learn new frameworks, solve problems independently, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-trust environments with high expectations.

Nice to Have

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of modern frontend build tools (Webpack, Babel).
