Stop building AI prototypes. Start building the AI Backbone. We're searching for a Staff Engineer - AI Backbone Architect (Remote) to join a "secure start-up" within a global powerhouse. Our client has been building an "AI Startup" led by ex-Google veterans, and they need a technical heavyweight to own the engine.

What You'll Do

• Architectural Vision: Lead the design of RAG systems, LLM-based agents, and complex multi-step workflows.
• The Technical Backbone: Build a modular, reusable AI platform on Azure and Kubernetes.
• Ship to Production: Move at lightning speed from POC → MVP → Global Scale.
• Leadership from the Trenches: Hire and mentor a high-talent team across Lisbon, Paris, and Boston while staying hands-on in the code.

Requirements

• The "Doer" Mindset: You are a senior Engineer who still loves to design and build.
• System Design Mastery: You’ve built production-grade backend systems that don't break under pressure.
• Tech Stack: Deep experience with Kubernetes, Azure, and (ideally) RAG/LLM architectures.
• Ambiguity Specialist: You can make high-stakes architectural decisions when the roadmap is a blank slate.

Nice to Have

• Experience in automating workflows for industries such as Private Equity, Automotive, and Industrial.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks and agentic systems.
