Mid-Level Systems Engineer II - Remote Opportunities
About the Role
We are seeking a talented Systems Engineer II to join our dynamic team at Raytheon. This remote Systems Engineer II position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced hybrid software systems while collaborating with a team of skilled engineers. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our projects by providing technical guidance and fostering effective communication across agile teams.
What You'll Do
- Execute multiple aspects of the systems engineering full lifecycle process, including requirements decomposition into software functions.
- Conduct system performance analysis and trade studies to ensure optimal system design.
- Oversee software development and system integration and test activities to ensure system requirements closure.
- Collaborate with agile development teams to address technical considerations, risks, and issue resolution.
- Define and document requirements for software releases, ensuring up-to-date requirements traceability matrices.
- Assist in the creation and management of project schedules based on development and release activities.
- Contribute to testing, training, and implementation of new platform technologies and code quality methodologies.
- Support agile teams by promoting best practices for software development in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (CI/CD) environment.
Requirements
- A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in systems engineering lifecycle phases.
- Experience with agile software development activities, including requirements specification and integration testing.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued DOD TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date.
- Ability to obtain a Polygraph after start.
Nice to Have
- Experience interacting with programmatic and technical representatives for presentations.
- Background in SIGINT, GEOINT, or Multi-INT Intelligence Community (IC) with end-user mission experience.
- Familiarity with cloud-based software architecture and systems.
- Experience developing MBSE design and DoDAF operational views.
- CompTIA Security + Certification – Linux.
