Sourcing Manager - Direct Procurement (Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for a Sourcing Manager - Direct Procurement to join our team at Orion Pharma. This remote Sourcing Manager position offers a unique opportunity to work within the Fermion Chemicals category, ensuring that our supplier portfolio and product offerings meet future requirements while contributing to Orion's strategic goals.

What You'll Do

• Manage the selected supplier base and projects within the Fermion chemicals category as a Sourcing Manager.
• Drive the RFQ and supplier selection process, negotiating pricing, business models, and sourcing agreements.
• Oversee supplier and risk management activities, ensuring optimal setups for business needs.
• Collaborate across organizational boundaries with experts to achieve desired outcomes.
• Lead projects and initiatives, proactively planning future actions to improve sourcing processes.

Requirements

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in global sourcing and supplier management.
• Alternatively, a recently completed M.Sc. degree in Business, SCM, Logistics, or a related field.
• Excellent cooperation and networking skills with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Familiarity with SRM and category management concepts, along with experience in negotiations.
• Fluent communication and negotiation skills in English and Finnish; additional languages are a plus.

Nice to Have

• Strategic sourcing mindset with a basic understanding of sourcing principles.
• Strong project management skills and SAP knowledge.
• Category-specific knowledge is considered an asset.
• Willingness to travel approximately 15-20 days per year.
