About the Role

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software and firmware products.
• Perform thorough functional, regression, and user acceptance testing to ensure product quality.
• Identify, document, and track software/firmware defects, collaborating with developers to debug issues and verify fixes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies and processes.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on remote Software QA Engineer roles.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and testing in both Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with Git and common platforms like GitHub or Bitbucket.
• Proficiency in bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and strong debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Aptitude for learning and adapting to changing priorities.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice to Have

• Basic proficiency in Python and familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Pytest.
• Experience with automated UI testing tools like Playwright or Selenium.
• Backend testing experience.
