Software Engineer - Secure Processing Solutions (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Software Engineer - Secure Processing Solutions to join our team at Collins Aerospace. As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate with high-performance teams to create mission-critical solutions that support various military and commercial applications.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate on system requirements and software development, contributing to the definition of system requirements and translating them into detailed software requirements and UML/SysML models.
• Engage in effective communication and team collaboration with other software engineers to foster a cohesive, solution-focused environment.
• Provide technical support to the SBCDS team, answering technical questions and resolving issues promptly to maintain system integrity.
• Develop code that meets customer and certification standards, ensuring functionality and compliance.
• Implement high-quality software in test environments, ensuring thorough testing and adherence to all specified requirements.

Requirements

• A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
• Experience with embedded development using object-oriented design.
• Familiarity with development tool sets such as Jira, Subversion, Git, and version management.
• Knowledge of microservices, containers, and orchestrators.
• Experience with automated test environments, preferably using Python.

Nice to Have

• Experience with requirements analysis and decomposition.
• Knowledge of memory-safe applications (Ada or Rust).
• Experience implementing graphical user interfaces with Java React framework or similar frameworks.
• Experience integrating and deploying software to hardware solutions.
