Software Engineer - Mac/​Swift Remote Position

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer specializing in Mac/Swift development to join our dynamic team at STARFACE. As a Software Engineer - Mac/Swift remote position, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing our STARFACE Mac Client, ensuring top-notch quality and performance.

What You'll Do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance the STARFACE Mac Client using Swift.
• Implement new features in close collaboration with product management and UX teams.
• Maintain and refactor existing codebases to improve performance and stability.
• Analyze and fix bugs to enhance application reliability.
• Integrate backend interfaces and collaborate on shared code platforms for Swift (iOS and macOS).
• Ensure compatibility with the latest macOS versions and Apple guidelines.
• Contribute to architectural and design decisions to improve product quality.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for development processes.
• Collaborate within agile development teams using Scrum/Kanban methodologies.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
• Strong passion for programming and a high standard of quality.
• Excellent knowledge of macOS development with Swift.
• Experience with Cocoa/Cocoa Touch, AppKit, Xcode, and common Apple Developer tools.
• Familiarity with Objective-C and React is a plus.
• Experience using AI tools (Cursor, Claude, Jetbrains Junie, etc.).
• Knowledge of software architecture, Clean Code, and design patterns.
• Experience with version control systems (Git/Gitlab).
• Ideally, knowledge in VoIP/SIP, network communication, multithreading, and performance optimization.
• Good command of both German and English.

• Experience in developing cross-platform applications.
• Familiarity with cloud services and deployment strategies.
• Interest in contributing to open-source projects.
