About the Role

Coinbase is seeking a Software Engineer Intern - Remote to join our team to build out the next generation of crypto-forward products and features. As a Software Engineer Intern, you will tackle unique, large-scale, and highly complex technical problems, bridging the constraints posed by web-scale applications and blockchain technology. This internship is a 12-week program during the summer of 2026, where you will work on exciting projects alongside engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Write high-quality, well-tested code as a Software Engineer Intern - Remote.
  • Specify your top team choice within the Product Group or Core Group organization.
  • Build systems to make cryptocurrency accessible globally.
  • Participate in team and company-wide offsites.
  • Focus on solving complex technical problems and contribute to building secure, dockerized infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with high-caliber colleagues in a dynamic work environment.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus.
  • Programming experience in Golang, JavaScript, or Ruby preferred but not required.
  • Interest in user experience and product interaction.
  • Self-motivated and committed to personal growth.
  • Positive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience with MongoDB, AWS, Docker, Postgres, and Rails is preferred.
  • Experience developing React Native mobile apps is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with blockchain technology.
  • Previous internship experience in software development.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies.
