Associate Director - Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director - Mechanical and Electrical Engineering to join our dynamic team at Tetra Tech. This remote position allows you to leverage your expertise in mechanical engineering while collaborating with world-class engineers and specialists to deliver innovative solutions. As an Associate Director, you will play a crucial role in managing engineering design solutions across various sectors, including defense, commercial, and healthcare.

What You'll Do

• Lead the delivery of engineering design solutions for building services projects.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality project outcomes.
• Oversee the technical and commercial aspects of your projects, including budgeting and cost estimation.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to project bids and tender submissions, showcasing your expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• Chartered Engineer status and membership in a relevant professional body.
• Strong project management skills with a proven track record in delivering complex engineering projects.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with clients at all levels.
• Experience with IES software, Revit, and Navisworks is essential.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of MagiCAD software.
• Experience in low carbon design and renewable technologies.
• Ability to attain security clearance to MOD “SC” level.
