About the Role

War Child Alliance (WCA) is seeking proposals for software maintenance and development services for our Quality-of-Care Data Strategy. This role involves enhancing the Attendance App and developing new applications to track competency and fidelity data, all while ensuring that the systems are user-friendly and compliant with GDPR regulations. As a key player in this project, you will contribute to our mission of supporting children affected by conflict through innovative technology solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain and enhance the existing Attendance App, ensuring it meets user needs and integrates seamlessly with new applications.
  • Develop new mobile applications for collecting competency and fidelity data, ensuring they function offline and sync securely when connectivity is available.
  • Create a Power BI dashboard that visualizes attendance, competency, and fidelity data, providing insights for better decision-making.
  • Consult with end users to gather requirements and feedback, ensuring the applications are user-friendly and effective.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and implement data protection measures throughout the development process.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in full-stack development, particularly with Android applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Kotlin, TypeScript, and MongoDB.
  • Experience in developing secure APIs and backend services.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI and cloud hosting, preferably on Microsoft Azure.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the non-profit sector or with organizations focused on child welfare.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in user experience design and usability testing.
