Senior Windows Systems Administrator - Government Contract

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Windows Systems Administrator to join our team at Northrop Grumman. This role is pivotal in supporting our classified government contracts and requires a strong commitment to security and operational excellence. As a Senior Windows Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems and ensuring compliance with strict security guidelines.

What You'll Do

• Perform as a Windows System Administrator for a classified government contract, ensuring the integrity and security of systems.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address system issues and requirements.
• Coordinate with network, software, and system engineers to maintain system performance and reliability.
• Analyze customer requirements and recommend solutions using automated systems.
• Implement system enhancements, including installation, upgrades, monitoring, and configuration management.
• Provide backup and recovery services, manage file systems, and ensure virus protection.
• Create and maintain user accounts and modify security access lists as necessary.
• Document technical processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Master's Degree with 3 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 7 years of relevant experience; OR a High School Diploma with 9 years of relevant experience.
• Must possess a Security+ CE certification (or greater) and maintain it as a condition of employment.
• Current DOD Secret level security clearance is required.
• Experience managing Windows Server OS and designing Windows domain architectures, including Active Directory and Group Policies.
• Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds and work after hours or weekends as needed.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Active Top Secret clearance or certifications such as MCSE.
• 10 years of experience in Windows Server Administration in a classified environment.
• Understanding of basic networking concepts, including subnets and routing.
