Senior Windows Systems Administrator - Government Contract
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Windows Systems Administrator to join our team at Northrop Grumman. This role is pivotal in supporting our classified government contracts and requires a strong commitment to security and operational excellence. As a Senior Windows Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems and ensuring compliance with strict security guidelines.
What You'll Do
- Perform as a Windows System Administrator for a classified government contract, ensuring the integrity and security of systems.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address system issues and requirements.
- Coordinate with network, software, and system engineers to maintain system performance and reliability.
- Analyze customer requirements and recommend solutions using automated systems.
- Implement system enhancements, including installation, upgrades, monitoring, and configuration management.
- Provide backup and recovery services, manage file systems, and ensure virus protection.
- Create and maintain user accounts and modify security access lists as necessary.
- Document technical processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Master's Degree with 3 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 7 years of relevant experience; OR a High School Diploma with 9 years of relevant experience.
- Must possess a Security+ CE certification (or greater) and maintain it as a condition of employment.
- Current DOD Secret level security clearance is required.
- Experience managing Windows Server OS and designing Windows domain architectures, including Active Directory and Group Policies.
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds and work after hours or weekends as needed.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Active Top Secret clearance or certifications such as MCSE.
- 10 years of experience in Windows Server Administration in a classified environment.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts, including subnets and routing.
